ROBERT A. SHARP

Bob, as he is known to his friends, is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and has been licensed for over 30 years.  He received a bachelors degree in accounting from the University of Utah and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Brigham Young University.

He joined the accounting staff of Price Waterhouse in Los Angeles as a member of the audit department.  His next career move took him to San Diego where he joined Price & Co. in La Mesa.  Bob became a partner in the firm and has worked in the same firm for over 30 years.  The name has changed with the addition and change in partners.  The firm is now known as Sharp, Thunstrom & Batson.

Bob also taught time management and financial management for ten years with the Franklin Covey Company.

Bob has given time to the community having served on a local community hospital board of directors and as chairman of the board.  He has worked with Boy Scouts of America for several years including District Chairman of the Mission District in the Desert Pacific Council.  He is a senior member of the Alumni Board of the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University. Bob  has served on the Joan Kroc Community Center of San Diego as a member of the advisory council.  He is a past chairman and currently serves as Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee.

William K. Thunstrom CPA

Bill works with individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations. His business clients operate in various industries including medicine, consulting, retail, architecture and design, real estate, clothing, and restaurants.  Many of Bills clients are closely held entities and he consults regarding accounting and tax issues particular to such a structure.

Bill has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.  He graduated with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from San Diego State University with Honors. He is a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Honorary Accounting Society.

Bill began his career in San Diego with Arthur Young & Co, an international CPA firm. He left public accounting for a period in which he served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of a group of corporations.  He served on the board of directors of a Mid-West Stock Exchange computer leasing company.

Bill has served in his community and church.  He has served in leadership positions in the Boy Scouts of America and both of his sons are Eagle Scouts.  He has served in leadership positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Bill and his wife Carol are the parents of six children.  He enjoys being with his family, reading, mountain biking and boogie boarding.   

Michael Batson
As the newest partner at the firm, Mike began his accounting career after graduating with a BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University in 1994.  He earned his CPA in 2003 and holds a Series 7 license.  Mike works with all entity types in the tax preparation area and is involved in the bookkeeping and other consulting services of several closely held companies. 

Mike is actively involved in his church and works closely with the local chapter of the AIGA, a non-profit organization.  He has served as President of Power Partners Chapter of BNI (Business Networking International).  

In his spare time, you can find him enjoying boating, snowboarding and working on home improvement projects.

TERRY F STAUBER

Terry is a Certified Public Accountant with local roots.  He studied accounting at San Diego State University.  He joined a public accounting firm in 1973, purchased the firm in 1980, and owned the firm until 2001 when he joined Sharp Thunstrom & Batson.

Terry has assisted his clients with management issues, business assistance, tax planning and compliance issues.

He has been involved in his church where he has served in various leadership positions, including vice-chairman of the church, chairman of the board of trustees, (3) stewardship committee chairmanships and lay pastor.

He has been married to Shirley for over 41 years and has two grown children and four grandchildren.

CINDY GRAIN

Cindy is our Payroll Specialist.  She performs payroll functions across multiple platforms.  Cindy is also one of our Senior Accountants and is knowledgeable in human relations.

COLLEEN WALKUP

Colleen has been with Sharp, Thunstrom & Batson since 1977.  She is the Administrative Assistant and a Notary Public.  Colleen also manages the data entry and tax return processing during tax season.  She enjoys the friendships she has made and continues to make with our clients. 

DONNA PACHECO

Donna has been with Sharp, Thunstrom & Batson since 1992 and is one of our Senior Accountants.  She is an Advanced Certified QuickBooks Professional and has worked with various versions of QuickBooks for over 10 years.  She has also worked with MAS90, Peachtree and MYOB accounting software. Donna is also a graduate of San Diego State University.

In her spare time, Donna enjoys sewing, gardening, traveling and volunteering her time in various community service organizations.  She is married and has 4 grown children and 3 grandsons.

DODIE HENDRICKSON

Dodie works for Sharp, Thunstrom & Batson during tax season.  She is our senior Technical Reviewer of tax returns.
